MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE (:
today was probably the closest i could get to actually celebrating christmas. haha
carolling at raffles at first was super tiring. i almost fainted during the first session. i started seeing black spots during silent night. which is weird, because i had breakfast. so i sang softly most of the time, except certain places where the sops split.
so after i went back to the holding room, i just sat down and rested for a while. i felt much better by the time the 2nd session came round (:
oh and did i mention that i didn't wear specs OR glasses for the first session? i was rushing to raffles, so i had no time to put on my contacts before leaving home. so before warm ups, i put on the contact lens for my right eye. and when i opened the packet[for lack of a better word] for the left lens, i realised there was no lens in it. not even the solution!
i was super annoyed.
so i decided to carol without contact or specs, because wearing specs with makeup is just weird.
but after that i called my mum and she was like 'oh just wear one lens for the time being. then after carolling, take it out and wear specs' i was like O.O at first. then i decided i'd rather be able to see the conductor semi-clear, than just see a blur of colour when he conducts. seriously, my power is quite high.
it was weird for the 2nd session, but i got used to it after that.
as for the singing part of carolling, it wasn't exactly very good at the beginning, but we got better each session (:
oh and i HATE the drains at raffles square.
the drains were like patterned, and i was standing on the edge of it. and since the heels of my court shoes are quite thin, they kept slipping into the drain.
the worst was when abel chose 'have yourself' for the next carol. i was trying to adjust myself so that i could see him clearer, but BOTH heels slipped into the drain. si ting and diane[sorry if i spelt it wrongly] had to keep me from falling. and the whole group saw it. haha embarrassing much?
i was cursing the drain mentally in between songs.
after that, we went back up into the holding room. then bing hao came up and said 'oh i have food if you want' and was like o.O
then he told me that he saw me almost 'faint' and i told him what really happened. hahaha so funny. thanks though, bing hao, it was nice of you to offer your food :D
after that we were just waiting for the grand reunion at 3.30. so some of us decided to go to macs and take away food. when we were leaving macs, the whole bunch of chorale people were coming down from the 2nd floor to go to the holding room.
grand reunion was awesome man! we sounded super super powerful and woahh. haha thats probably because i have never sung in such a choir before. plus there were SO many people!
after grand reunion it was gift giving time! so i gave jia sheng his pillow, and chocolate and distributed my cookies. sorry to those who didn't get a cookie ): i didn't make enough batter ): and by the time i made the 47cookies, it was 3am in the morning today. so i couldn't have possibly made anymore batter ):
and guess what? turns out zhi yang is my santa claus!
all this while chatting on msn and i didn't realise haha. maybe i very clueless lah. but still!
anyway, it was totally fun, watching everyone so hyped up about exchanging gifts (:

it was a really wonderful experience celebrating christmas with the choir (:
after everything, indrie, si ting, jun liang, jomel and i headed towards the mrt. jun liang and si ting were going to marina square, jomel was going home and indrie was going to orchard to meet someone.
indrie! i'm going to miss you terribly! even though we've only known each other for just over 2 months. i will definitely miss your constant hyper-ness and your fawning over leonardo and whatever that's associated with him. you are an awesome person, and you deserve the best! good luck wherever you are, and whatever you chose to do. don't forget us back in singapore, because i'm 200% confident that nobody, especially those in choir, will ever forget you! take care! and keep in touch! have a safe trip (:
its sad how in life, the only constant thing is change. we often have to give up our old way of life and embrace a new lifestyle. in my life, right now, the change is moving on from cedar into VJ. although its been merely 2 months since joining VJ choir, i feel a strong sense of attachment to VJ choir, comparable to how strongly i feel about cedar as a whole. not that i'll ever be able to forget cedar. but still...
it is very difficult to just let go of the past and move on with our lives. especially when i look back on the past and realise just how much the time i've spent in cedar really means to me.
i guess the only consolation, is the fact that we will experience new, and hopefully better things in the future. but then again, in about 2 years time, i would be leaving VJ as well, having to bid farewell to people who i would be close to. and even though, in the case of choir, the seniors still take part in some events together with the choir, it just wouldn't be the same.
ok, i'm guessing that thats enough of 'deep thinking' for now. wait later i become emo =P
i guess thats probably it for now. i'll update tomorrow or something.
but right now i need to catch up on sleep. i slept for only 3hours these last 2days XD
